This region is also a hunters', photograhers', birdwatchers' paradise with over 150 varieties of songbirds, shore birds and water foul, as well as, an impressive list of other animals including, but not limited too:

Big Game - Elk, Deer (two varieties), Antelope, Turkey, Bear, Mountain Lion, and Javelina.

Small Game - Squirrel (two varieties), Rabbit, Dove, Pigeon, Quail (three varieties).

Predators & Furbearers - Bobcat, Coyote, Fox (two varieties), Badger, Raccoon, Skunk (three varieties), Ringtail Cat, Beaver and Muskrat.

Rare & Endangered - Southern Bald Eagle, American Peregrin Falcon and Owl (three varieties).

Game Fish - Trout (three varieties), Pike (two varieties), Bass (two varieties), Catfish, Bullhead (two varieties), Sunfish and Bluegill.
