Website Banner Ads: Banner ads are displayed on almost every page of the website, and represent a tremendous opportunity to get your name or logo in front of our community. Several of the banner ads have regularly attracted more than 100 clicks per month.

Member-2-Member Discount Directory: A new benefit provided by the Chamber to its members, the discount directory provides members a free way to target advertising directly to other Chamber members. Contact the Chamber today with your creative discount plan.

Event Sponsorships: The Chamber of Commerce sponsors several major events throughout the year. Each of these events provides free or low-cost ways that you can participate in the event or become a sponsor. "Show Low Days Mountain Festival", will be June 6th, 7th and 8th this year, and now is the time to plan how your business will participate in this fabulous annual event.

Newsletter Inserts and Ads: Do you have a special event or announcement that you would like the community to know about? Consider providing an insert to the newsletter. I have completed my first year as your President/CEO with great pride! March 5, 2008, was my one year anniversary as your President/CEO of the Show Low Chamber of Commerce & Tourist Information Center. It's hard to believe that a whole year has passed. A lot has happened in the past year and it has been an outstanding year of excellence and unprecedented growth for the Chamber.

I hope you have enjoyed strong business success this last year. The Chamber is in business for business and we have been striving to increase our relevance to you primarily and to increase our involvement in business development across the board. We want to ensure that we have the most supportive business environment in which to locate and maintain your business growth. The Show Low Chamber membership continues to grow, new members are getting involved as soon as they join and existing members are more visible at events. We have so many new faces now that nametags are a necessity. As our membership grows and involvement increases, our Chamber becomes stronger and more diverse. The Chamber is a catalyst, a common vehicle through which business and professional people work together for the common good of our community. The Chamber coordinates the talents of local government and business people in tackling the issues facing our community and lobbies for small business issues when appropriate.

Our Chamber is over 500 members strong, busy, active and pro-active. We work as a White Mountain Regional team with all the Chambers in our region. And this is made possible by the contributions by you, our members' and we know that we are fortunate to have you as members.

We are looking forward to creating new programs this year such as a Junior Chamber of Commerce, Member to Member Discount Program and ASPREE Awards. We have a state of the art website offering you, the members new ways to advertise and market your product or service to potential customers all over the world. Chamber members are enjoying "Networking” ribbon cuttings and mixers. The Show Low Chamber endorses the Business Owners Roundtable Luncheon every month as we believe in the benefit that it provides to you.

Your businesses are being highlighted on "Business Matters" through our local City4 TV channel and White Mountain Radio. Print media coverage in local publications such as "The White Mountain Independent Newspaper", and they are providing stories and highlights of Chambers events which brings added visibility to the positive directions of our Chamber. We have tuned up communications and membership services, sharpened our mission and trained both staff and our Board of Directors on the value of a chamber membership. We are making sure we were focused on our mission and getting organizational changes in place.

This will be my second year at The Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Academy, which is the premier organization for education and professional development for chamber executives and staff. We will continue to organize regular networking events to give you the opportunity to meet with other members and to look for new business. We continue to represent business in a number of different ways. We have launched a new look to our website and our e-blasts, to keep you abreast of all the latest developments.

Being a small chamber with limited resources, we are always strapped for time as all of the staff, including myself, wear many hats. We need to do a better job at tooting our "proverbial" horns more often, letting our members know what we’re doing and getting the word out about the chamber’s positions or local issues that affect business.

I was asked just recently, what is it that I like best about my job? My answer: This is not like an ordinary job, this is how I choose to spend my day. I like to see people get what they want. To reach the goal that they have set for themselves and their businesses that is so important to them. I truly believe in the value of a chamber of commerce. I started out as a member when I owned a business over 20 years ago, went on to being a chamber board member, then to being on as a staff member, and now President/CEO. Let me put it this way, I wouldn't try to sell you a television set if I knew that it didn't work and was a waste of money. I WILL sell you the chamber, because it does work, and it is a good deal for what your small financial investment is!!

My passion is to be an immense leader for my family, my staff, the chamber membership and the community. So, what is the best thing I like about my job? Being blessed by having it!
