Advertising Opportunities with the
Show Low Chamber of Commerce Participate in Chamber EventsIf you're not yet a member, join us! The Chamber holds regular meetings, mixers, ribbon cuttings and major events throughout the year: attend these, pass out business cards, and get to know your fellow members and the services which you can offer one another. Volunteer at the Chamber office or at any of our events: it's good for your business - and good for your health! Hold a Ribbon-CuttingCelebrate the opening of your business, and expansion, remodeling, or other happenings that you would like our community and Chamber members to know about. Ribbon cuttings are a free and fun way to let your customers know about you. Pictures of the ribbon-cutting are included in the monthly Chamber newsletter, and appear in our local newspaper on a space-available basis. Host a MixerThe Chamber will provide free advertising for your mixer event. Mixers need not be expensive and are a great way to attract clients and community members to your place of business in a relaxed social setting. Be sure to have plenty of marketing materials available (brochures, business cards) to hand out at your event. Chamber Member Online DirectoryThe most active page on the Chamber website is our Chamber business directory. Members are included with a simple listing for free. Be sure to check your listing occasionally and let the Chamber know if there are any additions or changes. There are also several opportunities to enhance your listing in this directory: a link to your website, an image or picture of you or your business, and an enhanced description of your business. These enhanced listing opportunities are offered at a very reasonable fee to members. Call the Chamber and ask how you can participate. Website Banner AdsBanner ads on the Chamber of Commerce website are displayed on almost every page of the website. This represents a tremendous opportunity to get your name or logo in front of our community. The website tracks, banner ad "click-throughs", so if you have a website, your banner ad can direct Chamber website visitors to your website. Click-through values for the top banner ads are included in the Chamber newsletter each month. Several of the banner ads have regularly attracted more than 100 clicks per month. Member-2-Member Discount DirectoryA new benefit provided by the Chamber to its members, the discount directory provides members a free way to target advertising directly to other Chamber members, through a voluntary discount program. If you are interested in attracting other Chamber members to your client base, contact the Chamber with your creative discount plan. Event SponsorshipsThe Chamber of Commerce sponsors several major events throughout the year. Each of these events, provides free or low-cost ways that you can participate in the event or become a sponsor. The biggest event each year is "Show Low Days Mountain Festival", which will be June 6th, 7th and 8th this year. If you are a car buff, you can participate by entering a classic or restored car in the car show. Consider renting a booth at the festival, where you may sell merchandise, pass out marketing literature, or just let the thousands of show attendees know about your business. Our other events through the year include the fourth of July parade, the Christmas holiday parade, and the annual Chamber of Commerce member meeting. Newsletter Inserts and AdsThe monthly newsletter is mailed to all members of the Chamber, and is available to Tourist and Information Center visitors. If you have a special event or announcement that you would like the community to know about, consider providing an insert to the newsletter. This is a low-cost marketing opportunity will be seen by all Chamber of Commerce members. The newsletter also has available a limited amount advertising space at reasonable rates. Finally, you might want to consider writing an article for possible inclusion in the newsletter; this represents an easy way for you to tell members about some aspect of your business which they might not otherwise know. |
